If you’re avoiding gluten, you need a few creative meal ideas up your sleeve. That’s why we work with the Canadian Celiac Association (CCA) to certify an array of our flavourful low- and no-prep foods as gluten-free. We want your meals to be easy, safe and — most importantly — delicious.
So next time you’re pondering relaxed backyard eats, peek inside our freezers. Our CCA-stamped apps, mains, sides and desserts are safe to eat for people with gluten intolerances or allergies. They’re also made with picked-at-their-peak veggies and other high-quality ingredients, and packed with the flavours you know and love.
Build the perfect burger
When you’re in the mood for laid-back barbecuing, setting up a burger bar is always a good idea. First stop is our freezer case, where you’ll find three delicious, beefy, gluten-free choices: Angus Beef Burgers, Prime Rib Beef Burgers and Sirloin Beef Burgers. If you’re in the mood for chicken, no problem. Just grab a box of our gluten-free Gourmet Chicken Burgers.Our patties are made with excellent-quality meat you can feel good about, and they don’t contain any fillers. We flash-freeze them so they’ll stay juicy after a good sizzle on the barbecue. (No grill? Pouring rain? Pan-fry them instead.) Serve with your favourite gluten-free buns or skip the buns altogether and opt for crisp romaine leaves as your wrapper of choice. And don’t forget all your favourite toppers, like juicy tomato slices, grainy mustard, Chipotle Mayo Sauce, guacamole, sliced red onions and, of course, crispy Fully Cooked Bacon.
Mix and match your skewers
Maybe you’re not into committing to one flavour profile tonight. That’s good news if you have an assortment of our prepped-and-marinated kabobs waiting in the freezer. We package them individually so you can choose as many as you like of each of our mouth-watering, gluten-free varieties: Marinated Chicken and Bacon Kabob, Marinated Lemon and Herb Chicken Kabob and Steakhouse Seasoned Beef Kabob. We like any or all of them served with grilled pineapple rings, grilled cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of chopped fresh herbs.
Deck out your potatoes
If you think baked potatoes are just a cold-weather side, you haven’t met our Stuffed Potatoes. We roast the best russets, purée the tender insides and pipe them back into the shells along with premium add-ins, like broccoli, cheese, bacon and more. All of our yummy varieties — Broccoli and Cheese, Cheese, Classic and Gourmet — are easy to heat on the barbecue, in the oven or in the microwave. Add a few key garnishes at the table, such as sour cream, chives and crumbled Fully Cooked Bacon (also certified gluten-free), for a taste explosion.
End on a sweet note
You definitely don’t need gluten to make an amazing dessert. In fact, we have so many different gluten-free sweets, it’s hard to choose a favourite.
